The Royal Game of Ur Devlog 1


I learned about this game from this youtube video that happened across my feed:

I am a solo indie dev putting in any spare time towards game developement and so I wanted to make a game that I could finish in a relatively short amount of time and so I got started about three weeks ago with this project. I got the offline mode working in Unity by working an hour or two every day for a week. Then I started doing some research on how I can make this game online and currently am using Photon Pun 2 to handle all that online stuff. And within the next two weeks I got the online mode working as well as made the main menu logo.

Things that I still want to do are:

  • Update all graphics/UI
  • Add instructions to the game itself
  • Allow users to choose their token (add more tokens to choose from)
  • Add private match making to play with friends directly
  • Add a single player mode versus CPU
  • Learn how to add ads/in app purchases (and add them eventually)
  • Learn how to also launch on other platforms (steam, android, ios)

Since this is a secondary project for me and I do have another main project that I am working on, follow me on twitter for more updates on everything I am working on. I will try to balance my time between both these projects.
